The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is on September 30th. The day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities.

The Rothesay Town Hall will close at 12pm on Thursday, September 30th in recognition. Rothesay staff will be taking this opportunity to learn more about the tragic history of residential schools and their devastating impact on generations of Indigenous families and communities, and we encourage residents to do so as well.

Rothesay hours and service schedules for Thursday, September 30 will be as follows:

  • Rothesay Town Hall: Closed at 12:00PM.
  • KV Comex Bus Service: Will follow its regular schedules.
  • Compost & Recycling Pickup: Will be picked up as usual on Thursday.
  • All emergency services will be fully operational and available.
  • Rothesay Flags will be flown at half-mast.
